US metalcore outfit As I Lay Dying are currently writing new material for the follow-up to 2010's album The Powerless Rise.
The following statement was issued by their label: "As I Lay Dying are currently writing their fifth album and are preparing to enter the studio this April. The producer, title, art and all other details will be released over the next few months. Fans can expect to hear new material this summer as the band performs as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival."
Vocalist Tim Lambesis also posted this message on the band's Facebook page: "Working on lyrics for a new album. Can't decide if the album should include a song with the same name as the album or keep the two separate?"

| Honestly, "The Powerless Rise" was a pretty good stuff. Should be focusing on raising the bar. |

Well, i don't want they should execute anything near to "The Powerless Rise" not even the single damn riff. I'm expecting totally different stuff which actually they're capable of to thrive into one of their best work till yet. So, well, lets just wait and watch for more updates. i am little bit excited tbh |

Because releasing an EP with 5 new songs and 5 remixes, 1 or 2 being dubstepish, counts as making a Dubstep album. |

Well, either way it's still a shitty album.
If this is like The Powerless Rise, that'd be nice.
If it's like Decas, we're all fucked. |
