British power metallers DragonForce have announced the South American leg of The Power Within World Tour, their most extensive tour of South America so far. The tour, as special guests of Trivium, will take them to Ecuador and Venezuela, virgin territories for the band, as well as Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia in September.

Guitarist Herman Li commented: "The fact that we're going back to South America is great news and that everyone is fired up for this! We had great shows there on the last world tour and this time we get to reach out and play for fans in Ecuador and Venezuela too. We are really excited to be touring with our great friends Trivium again, it's gonna be an awesome tour!"

Tickets will go on sale on March 26th. One more show is due to be announced.

What in the name of... Dragonforce and Trivium doing a tour together?
Troy Killjoy - 22.03.2012 at 14:11
Not really surprising, considering both are some of the most renowned accessible poster-boy bands you can get.

What I find more surprising is that they didn't tour together earlier on when both bands were on the same label and only now after DragonForce left/didn't get a new contract from Roadrunner.

And tbh both bands complement each other perfectly since both have the same target audience.

There is definitely something odd about that. Maybe there's more to the story.

I have a DragonForce poster in my room, and a Cannibal Corpe poster too.

I'm sure you got them shipped from Japan too.
