Danish thrash legends Artillery have announced that the new drummer that will replace departed founder Carsten Nielsen behind the kit is Josua Madsen (ex-Consumed). Carsten reportedly left the band in April for personal reasons.

The band stated: "We are proud to announce our new drummer, who will be Josua Madsen. Josua have been living the last couple of years in the US playing with different bands. Last Danish band was Club Hell. We are looking forward to go on the road with Josua and first gig will be Headbangers Open Air in Hamburg, Germany. Thanks to former drummer Carsten for the 30 years of thrashing!"

Looking forward to seeing him in action. Will be interesting to know if he can bring the punk vibe/energy that Carsten brought to the table.
