As some of you may or may not know, Swedish progressive metallers Pain Of Salvation have recently started recording an acoustic album. It is being called Clean for the time being. The band might have been inspired by the acoustic show they played on June 8th at the Parkbühne Geyserhaus in Leipzig, Germany.
Daniel Gildenlöw explained the process: "After all the positive feedback on the re-arranged acoustic versions of the songs, we decided to record the tracks for an official release. So, we just spent two days in the studio recording our favorite tracks, adding the occasional surprise of course. The working title of the album is Clean but that might still change along the route to its release. The recording sessions were very direct and intuitive - genuinely creative - and we recorded everything together at once, including all lead vocals and harmonies. Daredevil, old-school and naked. Just like we want it."

| I saw them live last year with Opeth and i simply adored the concert. Its a fact that their latest albums don´t appeal to me as much as the early stuff, but i still like them. Im curious to listen this accoustic album. |

What used to be a great prog band is STILL a great prog band. Maybe not so much of YOUR liking, maybe... |

They are still great.. but prog? I would like to disagree with that.. their musicianship is still there hands down, but miss their more proggy days compared to the classic hard rock infused present |
