Deep Purple - Founding Member Jonathan Douglas "Jon" Lord Passes Away Aged 71
[Thanks to Marcel Hubregtse]
You killed the man, Marcel?
definitely the wrong thread to make such a joke. |

I was actually thinking the exact same thing when IU read it
And imo such a joke should be possible. |

I guess I respect and love Jon Lord and Deep purple too much to think such a joke is OK (on this thread). |

I respect and love the work of Jon Lord and Deep Purple immensely and I really don't see a problem with such a little joke. But then again imo it is alright to make non-harsh jokes about death. Hell, when my mum died last year I found it okay to make some jokes about it, as did my dad and most of my relatives.
Because detah is part of life and nothing sacred, there is no such thing as sacred when it comes to life and death. |

| Joking about death is a way to deal with grief. |

I agree, but that joke just seemed inappropriate, wrong joke at the wrong place and time, that's all. My opinion... |

| The joke was hella tame tbh. If the dude had been murdered it would have been considered a "too soon" joke but nah... |

| OK. I apologize if my non-joke offended or seemed inappropriate to anybody. |

Okay, you are now fucking overreacting. Looking like a complete douche who thinks that you're the only fan of Jon. And tbh that was a great joke. Boo-hoo! |

You have nothing to apologize tbh. I personally found it funny and I know I'm not the only one. |

Maybe I did overreact but so did you; so I thought it was a joke a wrong time and place, it's just my opinion, can't I say what I think? |

As others have said, there's really nothing to be upset about here. Especially considering how inoffensive the joke was. |

I honestly apologize if I upset anyone with my complaint, it was not my intention. |

| Sad news. At least he was at an age that it's normal to die, and not only 30 or 40. |
