| I can't handle all that maturity they've gained, for not using a prefaced number. My brains imploded. |

"The new album is without a doubt the darkest thing I have ever done or heard." If I get a dollar every time I hear this...
Last solid album from them was back in 2007. Yes, they gained that maturity which is shown by cashgrab after cashgrab with the same Halmstad formula |

The only album I fully enjoyed was Född Förlorare. The rest is pretty meh. |

what? that piece of drivel. Far inferior to even his demo work when he was 14 or so, if you ask me. |

Some times it does, like in this case
But some times it is good too |

| If the downhill continues, this new one will gain a huge rate of about 2,3 from me, which means it's not worth a rate. |

Woah, I usually think your taste is awesome but you got some seriously bad karma with me dude. That album is crap!
...and... and to think I loved you. Will things still be the same?! We can fix this... I'm sure. |

To be honest, it's the only album I can remember the music from. The rest is just a picture of Kvarforth, with a notebook and a pen, cutting himself in a bathtub. Quite like the latest album, but still.
Shut the hell up, you love my ass. |

| Hopefully they'll continue with furthering the sound of their last full-length. I've given up on hoping for a return to their more extreme and atmospheric style and I've learned to embrace this somewhat progressive side. We'll see what happens anyway. I've always enjoyed Kvarforth as a frontman and I'm sure even if the music isn't anything mesmerizing he'll still somehow make it interesting. |

I don't understand the bitching and moaning regarding Shining. Unlike a lot of his contemporaries, Kvarforth does not adhere to the same formula release after release. I think though he has struggled to introduce the progressive elements without distracting from the dark atmospheric style you mention above, overall, the recent albums have been engaging (at least for me). |

I have no problems with the change of style (I mean, V is hella progressive at times and I loved it)... and Oddly enough the first song of their latest album is amazing yet I can barely stand the rest.
So I guess I have a problem with the actual delivery, not the style.

Why do you call it bitching & moaning? Just because some people don't like it? Please... |

Not sure I follow you exactly. Can you elaborate some more? Define "style" first off.

Define style?

From now on that's ^ the only definition for style. |
|
|
|
| Haha Redefining Darkness. All I care about is another overly graphic music video, that last one off of Fodd Forlorare was fucking NUTS. |

Mel for the win.
As far as the music goes...I'll wait until I've heard the actual album before I say anything. |

| If the last album is anything to go by, I'm expecting almost a complete stylistic department from what we once knew as Shining. Will be interesting to see what comes out of this, but I'm not holding on to my panties. |

Don't you mean "stylistic departure"? |

Oh, dear god, what a brain fart...
I'll keep it that way, maybe my mistake will make it big on the Internet. |
