The Hall is a joke.
With that out of the way: Deep Purple and Rush should definitely be inducted. Who knows if they will though? Kraftwerk will probably get in. |

It's also nice to see Procol Harum nominated; also Albert king who's a great bluesman.
Kraftwerk is a surprise, too, I don't think they have much chance though. |

The only reason I check news like these out is to see what completely non-rock-and-roll acts they are thinking of putting into the Hall.. guess someone needs the publicity, I mean seriously, N.W.A ? do these guys even listen to the bands? I'm not saying the music is good or bad, but if it's supposed to be about a certain genre why do they get acts who probably don't even want themselves to be associated with rock?

| I'll just echo the remarks of others that this so-called Hall of Fame is a total joke and completely lame-ass. That's coming from the perspective of a fan of music. It means nothing to me. I'm only interested in bands making good albums. And seeing those bands play live. Who knows, maybe the musicians get off on it and welcome the accolade? |

Rush, Deep Purple, Chic (a late 70s/early 80s funk-disco band who influenced several hip-hop/rap oriented acts throughout the 80s based on ONE song, Good Times), Heart and Albert King...
I'm not too sure about the other ones...

| Finally names worthy of mention being nominated. I personally voted for Kraftwerk since I love their work (please don't kill me), however Deep Purple and Rush need to be recognized too (their nominations are way overdue). |
