11:54 - Overrwatcher I had to leave Knotfest after Trivium due to dehydration issues ($5 water when I'm broke), Carnifex was so fucking good. Got autographs and a busted nose. 100% worth.
11:52 - !J.O.O.E.! Everyone should stop arguing and listen to Crimson [link]
11:50 - Overrwatcher I oversimplified it quite a bit, my bad on that. Marcel is right, Opeth has growls but no other DM characteristics. DM-influenced? Definitely. Actually DM? Definitely not.
11:47 - Overrwatcher My god, people are STILL arguing about my late night Opeth post? To clarify, I meant that the average person will go "wow, death metal can be good", regardless of whether or not Opeth is DM.
10:24 - Joe Zombie Let's play a game. I'll post a track and you have to tell me if its Opeth, or Mumford & Sons.
10:08 - Mr. Strawberry Judas Priest's "Better By You, Better Than Me" is really a weird song (lyrically)
09:42 - Mr. Strawberry I'm not really sure..., but I hope no one will steal my name "Mr. Strawberry" as their band name. My name sounds really cool and smart anyway.
US instrumental progressive metal band Scale The Summit is currently working on new material. This will be the band's fourth album and follow up to The Collective which was released last year. More album details are yet to be released but like their previous album, this one will also see its release on Prosthetic Records. The new record will also feature the band's new bassist, Mark Michell. You can check him playing through "The Levitated" below.
Band guitarist, Chris Letchford, checked in with the following details: "We just started work on our next album. The material we have written so far is definitely pushing us into new territory. Very excited to see what we create! It's been a lot of fun writing these songs with our new bassist, Mark Michell. He is a very skilled and talented guy, so these songs will definitely be our best yet! Looking forward to getting them all finished and recorded so we can get out there and play them live."
