| Hopefully they can retain their successful sound but introduce some interesting and new elements to that formula. |
| I just hope they're not rushing things and would return to what they used to offer in the old days, Surtur Rising wasn't that good. |

Totally agree, they need something fresh but still it must sound like Amon Amarth in the end. |

Don't agree, Sutur Rising is awesome. Maybe you don't like the way the band has evolved, matter of taste then. Yet I would like them to deliver something fresh too, but what you they add this time ? Female voice ? Anyway let's wait and see, so far I've never been disappointed by any Amon Amarth album. |

| Thet already finished writing their new album the moment they finished their debut album |

Well, I can hope for the BEST.
Good luck AA. |

Well it's not about female vocals or anything like that, it's about the originality and the quality of the riffs, so far they have been playing too many "safe" albums, they aren't doing anything special with the guitar riffs unfortunately. Anyway you're right it's a matter of taste. Let's see what they'll bring up in the upcoming album. |

I most certainly agree their last two albums were crap beyond belief, but I'll always stand by their early 2000s work. "Bastards Of A Lying Breed" & "Bleed For Ancient Gods" still have a sound I haven't found elsewhere. The band is best when they are more abrasive, with a bold, warm production. |

I don't see them topping TOTTG, but I look forward to the release... and a subsequent tour. |

Lol. wow. That album was a total Borefest Surtur was average at best. I own everything from Amon Amarth, i know what they are capable of doing. I would like to hear something not too far outside the box but at the same time something on a new level. With Odin on Our Side was the last album that i cared for before they started to churn out MTV Metal for TWEENS |

MTV metal for tweens? Last I checked, MTV doesn't play music at all, and tweens listen to one direction and justin bieber. Your argument is invalid.
If you were implying that you think they "sold out", I hate to break it to you, but death metal (especially swedish death metal) gets no mainstream attention at all, no matter how "commercial" the music may sound. Get over yourself. |

The only thing that is valid about this is the fact that i stopped holding my breath for anything this band has to offer, especially after 'With Odin on Our Side' |

| Not that I don't like their latest works, but please, no more of the same... |

| Nice! Surter was a good album but agree that they need something fresh to make this one work, for some reason I got a bad feeling about this... hopefully Amon proves me wrong |

| Really don't see what's wrong with their latest albums : been following the band ever since "Once Sent From the Golden Hall" and I like all their albums... And I don't know any other band sounding like Amon Amarth, being into Viking stuff more than the usual satanist things (but maybe here I'm being ignorant of other bands sounding like Amon Amarth). I'm sure their next album will be good (unlike Cradle lastest offer which just found me not willing to care about that band anymore). |

Please no Surtur Boring guys.... |

I read the title wrong! I thought it was "Finnish Writing New Album" |
| I'm really interested to hear something from this new album. I kinda feel like they'll do something interesting. They're just too good at what they do to really stagnate completely. |

The problem with this band is that they have been too comfortable with their sound and quite honestly they are also becoming too predictable. I have absolutely no high hopes for this release. Lets hope that they can return to form and put out something memorable I still have my doubts |

| I say, Surtur Rising was awesome. Nothing like the two previous albums, but still awesome. |
| The previous two albums were practically the same. I hope they try something new this time, while maintaining their awesome sound. |
| Oh, these guys still exist, huh? That's cool, give me a new album of the same shit you've done for 20 years |
