| Shit, and I never got to see them live. Hope it's just Cedric bitching and that Omar will get him to re-think what he did (now that sounded like a Mexican novel). |

I think it's more Omar than anything. Here's a quote from an interview the other day about his new project, and on Cedric's solo work since the hiatus.
"I'm really excited to hear another side of him and to work on music without me. He's composing all the music, playing all the instruments, literally doing everything himself, rather than just singing over the top of my songs"
Omar sounds more and more like a massive arrogant prick each time I read an interview of him. I wish they'd have at least gone on that American tour though, I've been waiting for so long. (for someeeone to...) |

I started listening to The Mars Volta in 2006 and grew up listening to this band; they helped get me into prog rock and, probably indirectly, metal music. This is huge news. I hadn't been following them too much as of recent, even though the Mars Volta are among my favorite bands, so this caught me quite by surprise. Wow, this is a sign of the times for sure. I feel old now.
Frances the Mute is one of the best albums known to mankind. |
