While they didn't make it to the 9th Annual Metal Storm Awards, Weeping Silence have recently been nominated for the "Best Heavy Metal Band" award in the small nation of Malta's National Music Awards 2012 alongside Beheaded, Myopic Destiny and Insurgence.

Weeping Silence released this statement about it: "This is a big achievement for us & for gothic metal in Malta. After 15 years of gigs around the nation & fast on the heels of our new album, we are trilled to get this recognition. If we take home this award know that it will be dedicated to the undying metal fans on this island who continue their passion & support for the local scene!"

The MMAs will be held on February 3rd.
