This is different from what I was expecting, but not necessarily a bad thing. In fact I'm enjoying the song a lot. I know Amorphis doesn't disappoint, and I'm sure the album will be good.

Umm, for me it sounds gay. It's not metal anymore.

Atmosphere is decent yet the melodies are lacking ingenuity...not that I was expecting anything innovative from this genre, just something a little more creative and sophisticated. Anyways we'll see about the album.

This is a lot more metal than Amorphis has been in a long while. Good song.

Because I have my own opinion? For me the song sounds a little bit gay (especially vocals). It's just too soft. So what? I'm not making this opinion the ultimate truth fro a whole wide world.
Adult? Screw being adult.

I miss growls here. At one point I was like: "And here we go!" but then only clean vocals appeared. So this was little dissapointing, but I am sure this album will be better then previous.

Amorphis has songs that are much more "gay" than this, I can assure you. An opinion like that is hard to take seriously

Actually there's only a line or two in the second verse where growls would totally work, but an entirely growled verse would've been poor taste.

This song is really good! It's definitely no "Sampo" or "Silent Waters", but it's definitely a satisfying listen and it makes me excited for the new album!

Tepid at best. Also, "an union" is not proper English.

Haha, true. Quite a common grammar mistake, though I think Marco Hietala would've picked that out if they still worked with him.

Ever since they got their new vocalist (Tomi) they have followed formula of always releasing a radio friendly track as first single, usually light and melodic, and always consisting of clean vocals only (except Silver Bride, that one actually has some growls in it, but it's mostly a clean vocal track as well) Here have a look:

House of sleep
Silent waters
Silver Bride
You I need
Hopeless days

Just something I've noticed

The band was interviewed alongside the radio premiere here in Finland, and said the lead single was picked by Nuclear Blast. As a long-time fan I have to say this one is the least radio friendly single out of the ones you listed. I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't end up in power play for the Finnish rock radio.

Yeah I pretty much agree, I like the heaviness and the sort of more "evil" riffery, it's a track that's at least instrumentally got more balls than their usual first singles.
