Canadian metallers Archons have announced that the band has decided to call it quits after only releasing one album throughout their career, The Consequences Of Silence, which now sounds ironic.

Official goodbye statement from the band: "We have an important announcement to do today. We officially announce you that Archons has decided to disband. The decision was taken in good will from everybody. We all want to pass on to something else. Sadly, this means the second album won't be released. Even if most of the recording is done, there is still too much to do. We thank all of you for your incredible support for all these years. We will never forget what we lived with Archons. Thank you!"

"Here are our new projects: In Flames We Trust (tribute to In Flames with Simon C.) and Copperfield (with Christian, Francis et Simon D.)."

The band formed in 2006 but the band members now want to focus on something else. You can listen to the demo tracks the band worked on here.
