Deafheaven - New Album Streaming Online


American shoegaze black metallers Deafheaven have begun streaming their second album, Sunbather, which can be heard in full at this location in advance of its release. The album is set to be released on June 11th via Deathwish Inc. just before the start of their headlining tour.

Well, it gives Black Metal a new color, I don't even think we can call this Black Metal anymore since they're effectively stripping it of all its primal dynamism, like all novelties it has its fair share of dissidents and conformists. It's enjoyable up to a certain point.

Loving this so far. Very different from Judah, but the atmosphere these guys build is just out of this world still. Looking forward to many more listens this weekend.
