14:22 - InnerSelf It would actually be so Oranssi Pazuzu if they leave it as a one time thing, but it's highly unlikely. Crossing my fingers for a some sort of release
14:16 - DeliciousDishes I was so sad that I didn't get a front place to stand for that WoS Orchestra one so it sadly didn't hit me that hard. That said he main thing about it I was surprised by was how amazing the DBR vocalist was! I hope they record it!
14:15 - Maratha Yeah InnerSelf, that Waste of Space performance was reeking of pure evil, I also think that Dark Buddha Rising’s new makeover is a thing to watch out. Their vocalist is as good as OP’s.
14:04 - InnerSelf Oranssi Pazuzu jumped up from one of the bands I care about a lot to one of my absolute favourites after seeing them again in Roadburn this year, GODDAMN
To celebrate the North American release of The Wild Hunt, Watain's new album, Century Media is currently streaming the whole piece though YouTube. Don't waste the opportunity to listen to the album below. The Wild Hunt came out yesterday in Europe. So what is the verdict on the band's fifth creation?
The Wild Hunt tracklist:
01. Night Vision
02. De Profundis
03. Black Flames March
04. All That May Bleed
05. The Child Must Die
06. They Rode On
07. Sleepless Evil
08. The Wild Hunt
09. Outlaw
10. Ignem Veni Mittere
11. Holocaust Dawn
It's like with the latest Dimmu Borgir. If you accept that Watain changed their style considerably, you might appreciate the album. It's not I great, but there are quite a lot of very decent songs there, the most controversial "They Rode On" among them.

they only changed their style much when you compare it to their first two albums but not so much when you compare it to their previous two. The Wild Hunt is a logical step when you compare it to those two.
"They Rode On" is only controversial amongst the people who don't want acoustic ones. It's a brilliant track.

Pretty damn good! very similar to the last album but still has unique twists such as the mentioned acoustic song, looking forward to getting to know the album a bit more.

Listening to the stream, 1st time I've listened to Watain, and I have to agree with you.
I didn't realize acoustic songs and clean vocals were still controversial in black metal. (unless you're that Confessions Of A Headbanger guy)

"Another day, another Doug."
"I'll fight you on one condition. That you lower your nipples."
"I'll put whatever I want in your mouth!"
Instantly when I heard "They Rode On" it felt like something that Fields Of The Nephilim do, so I was actually quite relished after skimming through all the jargon about it. Really nice song.
