Bad news Kiuas fans. The Finnish power metallers have announced that the band has come to an end. Lustdriven will then be their last album. The members will continue to write music and you will probably hear from them in future projects. The group's farewell show will be in Helsinki on October 18th.

The band explained the decision to disband: "Kiuas is dead, long live Kiuas! After a long careful consideration and looking at all possible options, we, Kiuas, have decided it is time to put this band to its final rest.

After four amazing albums, tours and festivals in Finland and around the world and amazing times together, we find ourselves in a situation where we can't see ourselves evolving anymore as Kiuas and thus believe it is best for all past and present members and partners in crime to lay the name Kiuas to its grave.

We will not stop making music, not ever, either together or separately, but Kiuas is as of today dead and our visions and plans are to be built on new fresh soil. To make sure we go down to our everlasting sleep in honor, Kiuas will play one more show, gathering together the history of the band and all its past members, united once more, in Helsinki's Nosturi on October 18th. A funeral to remember.

Thanks to everyone who's supported us through the years! You'll be hearing from our future moves through this site and/or social media... Palvokaa UKKOA!"
