Heidevolk - New Vocalist Revealed, New Album In 2014

Folk metallers Heidevolk have found the replacement for Joris Boghtdrincker, who left the band earlier this year after more than ten years in the group. His name is Lars (Bláhrafn) and he is involved in the projects Lost Lament, Godenbloed, Valhaz and Cut Deeper. With their line-up now complete, you can expect a new album next year to follow Batavi.

The band welcomed the new singer: "Ladies en gentleman, we are happy to announce that our quest for a new singer has come to an end. We are proud to introduce to you our new vocalist: Lars. Skilled in both the higher and lower vocal regions we think Lars is an addition as well as an extension to the Heidevolk sound. Having already rehearsed with Lars in the Heidevolk rehearsal caves it is safe to say that the vocal combination of Mark and Lars will blow you away!"

Lars: "I'm happy and honored to be among the ranks of Heidevolk. Being both a listener and admirer of their music I was thrilled to hear that they chose me. I can't wait to be on stage and in the studio with the band. Furthermore: I don't consider myself to be an exact replacement for Joris but I hope to be a worthy successor as vocalist of Heidevolk. PROOST!"

The group continued: "Now, after six months, our line-up is complete again and we feel refueled and ready to take on our next challenge: a new album, tentatively scheduled for mid-2014. Along with that expect us to explore and invade familiar and new territories and clubs for a full force Heidevolk live attack! More updates on both endeavors will follow shortly. See you soon!"

Uti Oude Grond was average album for me. Also, wasn't impressed much as they dropped the bombshell in 2008(Walhalla Wacht) and that set the record high.

I'll definitely see what they do this time with new vocalist.
