||Prog/power metallers Lanfear have good news to share. The successor to This Harmonic Consonance (2012) is one step closer as the band announced that they will start the recordings of their new album on January 17th, 2014. Lanfear have been focusing on writing new songs for the last few months.
The band explained: "Okay, 'entering studio right before Xmas' maybe was a very optimistic announcement but we'll definitely start with the recordings on Jan., 17th., 2014. Hey, this is nothing compared to our usual delays. As always, Gen will record the drums Dreamsound Studios which was an easy decision. It's always fun to work together with Jan Vacik and the recording room simply has great acoustics. Munich is also known for good food and good beer which means that Gen will not lose weight. Never fear!
After that we'll record guitars, keys & bass in our home studios and we all hope Nuno gets well soon to start with the vocals. The new tracks are of course melodic, powerful, heavy, catchy, sophisticated, commercial, fast, slow and thrashy and we reinvented the wheel with these tracks. You know that phrase-mongering, don't you? Stay sick!"
Their last album This Harmonic Consonance has been nominated for Metal Storm Awards 2012 in the category of Best Power Metal Album.
