Lääz Rockit - Former Drummer Dies
Victor Agnello, former Lääz Rockit drummer died from leukemia. Lääz Rockit's bassist Willy "Lange" Langenhuizen confirmed the news on his Facebook page. Victor Agnello, who'd been battling leukemia for more than a year, has died at just 50 years old.
He was the drummer of Lääz Rockit from 1983-89, and then again during a 2005-06 reunion, helping the pioneering San Francisco thrash band record four albums before leaving for a career in medicine.
Willy sent this message: "Between the tears and laughter of life maybe just maybe you get the privilege to know someone like Vic! So much laughter but now to many tears. To Emily and the girls words can't describe how sorry we all are for your unimaginable loss. I hold a special place in my heart for Vic because he was so full of life and positive energy. His quirky ways made the boys Jell, Phil, Mike and myself see a side of humanity that rarely exists. A pure love for life... and with that my brother I say.... Time to cry!"
