Jørn Lande - Does Vocals For 'League Of Legends' Video Game

Norwegian vocalist Jørn Lande (Jorn) has recently contributed with lead vocals on a song featured in League of Legends. League of Legends is a game by Riot Games, and is an extremely popular online multiplayer game. Riot Games has put together a metal band in the game called Pentakill, which is supposedly the most famous band in the Valoran continent. With millions of active players, it's a good way to spread heavy metal to the masses! You can listen to the song with Jørn on vocals here.

Jørn Lande comments: "I worked closely with music producer Christian Linke of Riot Games in LA, on a project called 'Pentakill', which is basically a heavy rock band within the League of Legends concept. 'Pentakill' is the Valoran continents most famous (and possibly only) rock band. Its members consist of champions from the game. It's very exciting to be a part of this new development in the gaming industry, it's a great opportunity to be able to reach out to millions of people worldwide in just a blink of an eye. It has been a great experience working with the productive and dedicated people of Riot Games, and I am truly proud to be a part of this!"

The music video is also showcased on Pentakill's website, where you can also listen to Pentakill's full album.

The band is great fun, even if it's like the nerd apotheosis. There's also ZP Theart in a track, I think.

don't care about Theart, but I should check it out based on Jorn and Derek, and the fact that a lot of my students seem to enjoy the game so much haha

edit: the first track doesn't seem even half bad. better than most of the 2014 power metal / heavy metal releases I've heard. But am I missing something? Where's the video? Or that mask that keeps spewing flames is the supposed video :@
