Opeth previously announced that a book was in the works about the history of the band. Today, the Swedes released an update. The book is coming out next year and not in 2014. Meanwhile, the band's new opus, Pale Communion, will be released on August 26th with the new single "Cusp Of Eternity" already available. The band will embark on a European trek at the end of this year as well.

From the band's Facebook page: "Rocket88 and Opeth are still working on it - and it's looking damned good! We have conducted new and exclusive interviews with everyone, and lots of rare and previously unseen images have been found for inclusion, so the book is shaping up to be something very special. However, in our bid to be as definitive as possible and that the book be the ultimate document, the research and interviews are ongoing - meaning that it will now be published at the beginning of 2015 rather than this year. We will keep you posted of all developments and, rest assured, it'll be worth the wait!"
