Am I listening to Korn?
Altunenberg - 07.07.2014 at 21:21
What is this...?
Lit. - 07.07.2014 at 21:24
Why are people surprised? This band hasn't put out anything worthwhile in years.
Alondate - 07.07.2014 at 21:35
Even worse than the last album. hell yeah ._.
Orangutoad - 07.07.2014 at 21:48
Ugh. They just keep getting worse...and worse...and worse...
FeskarN - 07.07.2014 at 22:03
I have lost my intrest in this band, a long time ago. Come Clarity was their last good album.
BloodJuNkie - 07.07.2014 at 22:32
RIP In Flames!

Soundtrack To Your Escape, for me. The new song is hideous...

Metal for tweens.
OpenMind - 07.07.2014 at 23:52
Everything is wrong in this song
Sword_Chant - 08.07.2014 at 00:24
It sounds terrible.
freedom forever - 08.07.2014 at 00:34
They are destroying their past and reputation
Pitwulf93 - 08.07.2014 at 02:37
I really like it
Opethian - 08.07.2014 at 02:46
Don't feel like pausing the new SepticFlesh over this Pop Teen garbage ...
Slayer666 - 08.07.2014 at 02:48
Meh, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. It's just bland and forgettable. Just like their last album. And the one before. And the one before that.
Vombatus - 08.07.2014 at 03:15
What is this I don't even
b0sse - 08.07.2014 at 04:11
Doesn't even sound like In Flames at all any longer, lol
deadone - 08.07.2014 at 05:09
Oh. My. Fucking. God.

It sounds nothing like Lunar Strain or Heartwork or Butchered At Birth or Scum. What a bunch of sellout fucks. I HATE YOU ANDERS, HATE YOU I SAY! I'm aborting my unborn child with a fish hook so it doesn't have to live in a world with such abominable music. I HATE YOU ANDERS.

On a serious note, it's not that bad. Enjoyable for a mindless pop metal ditty. I think they could get rid of the growl/screams and maybe have the guitars up slightly, but neither ruin the song.
BlueMobius - 08.07.2014 at 05:11
Thoughts:
-Collaboration with Fred Durst is most likely ... maybe a even a song featuring the clown from Slipknot ...
-Nothing like a bunch of middle-aged men wearing skater gear meant for 15-year-olds
-When Anders was doing that brooding mouth at the mic thing before he uttered the first vocal, I was kind of anticipating him to shout, "Give me fuel, give me fire..."
-At least he shaved off those nasty dreadlocks.

Wow I was reading similar posts on old Megadeth BB when Clayman and Reroute to Remain came out.

What's hilarious is that all these people talking about In Flames not sounding like In Flames and selling out must have missed the last 5 albums. 6 if you count Clayman. 8 if you're totally kvlt trve metal and Jester Race was the last decent thing they did before stripping down their sound with Whoracle. So these dudes went commercial at least 12-17 years ago depending on your persuasion.

And then people get "shocked" when they come out with another pop-metal album.

Finally are people really expecting another Jester Race? Seriously.

My suggestion: stop doing drugs.
Coolingsrock - 08.07.2014 at 05:31
They have clearly changed their style on this one and their last album. now it's Aternative Metal. it is what it is......
SleepFan - 08.07.2014 at 06:03
Astoundingly, confusingly awful. What happened? I loved these guys. Oh well, I guess I'll go back to listening to Dark Tranquillity.
The Evergreen - 08.07.2014 at 08:37
I think I just heard four songs. One of them was good. Two were okay. One sucked.
WTF, In Flames?
DISSAPOINTED!

Sure, they play different music with every album. I got over it. Call it what ever genre you want, this song isn't that bad. The intro is actually pretty good. The bad part comes with the vocals. Don't know what happened with Anders' vocal skills. Clean vocals were great on Come Clarity album, even on ASoP and SoaPF (which is really good album imo). But here, idk, clean vocals are horibble and screams have so much layers that just try to cover how bad they really sound. Maybe time for a new vocalist? And the distortion on guitars is really soft, but that has been the case on the last couple of albums. They should try to go to guitar sound like on Clayman, production on that album has some huge balls. But unfortunately it is what it is..

Flat.
s_t_s - 09.07.2014 at 14:19
The more I listen to it, the more I think it's not SO afwul in the end. Oh, don't get me wrong, it's NOT good ! But hey A Sense Of Purpose was so bad that Sounds of A Playground Fading came as a good piece of news (except for Liberation, the only track that makes me wanna puke until all my guts lie on the floor). Now let's consider this track as a stand alone in the next album and let's hope the rest sounds like SOAPF.

Also, to all of you who wish they played the same music as they did 20 years ago : guess you're mostly youngsters because believe me when you turn 40 (like I am) you just CANNOT pretend you're still 20 Besides changes are not necesarily bad. Will check the other snipets from this album right now.

Yet, I agree, that bands like Dark Tranquillity, has never disappointed me...

It has really grown for me. didn't like it at first, but i really dig it now. sucks that most of you can't appreciate a good song.

Somehow I think we'll learn to accept our musical ineptitude.

It sucks that you don't have an understanding of what differing tastes are.
