Falloch - Unveil New Album Details

Falloch have spilled the beans and revealed many details about their new album. Their second album will be called This Island, Our Funeral and comes out on Candlelight Records on September 22nd in Europe, and October 21st in the rest of the world. Feast your eyes on the cover art below. What do you expect from the new album? It will feature the new vocalist/guitarist Tony Dunn.

This output will follow the band's 2011 debut Where Distant Spirits Remain.

Album description: "Thematically aiming for a darker direction with This Island, Our Funeral, Falloch still manage to capture the atmosphere of the Scottish landscapes while creating a more direct and energetic sound. In writing this album Falloch were inspired to create a stronger coherent sound as a band and to have more charismatic lead vocals, performed by their new vocalist/guitarist Tony Dunn. On the six tracks of this album, the band takes the listener on a journey from tranquil serene sounds and landscapes through to thick walls of sound brought together by soaring vocals and emotive performances."

The band worked again with Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost B.C., Cathedral, Ulver) for the mixing and mastering in February 2014 after being awarded funding from Creative Scotland to help produce a second album.

Looks really nice but oh my god does that title arrangement annoy the fuck out of me. Why didn't they just write it normally instead of squeezing the letters it's really irritating.

Wrap texting album name on cover art is something to showcase an artwork than spoiling with just a simple texts on art. I don't think they could have gone with any other motive or something.

Good, because the previous album had terrible vocals.

Why hasn't Tanner had an orgasm all over this thread yet. Not really too excited for this unless they really do fix the vocals

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this. They described the vocals as soaring, which could be interesting. I hope the new vocalist has a voice that is much less "little boyish" than Andy did. I haven't managed to get around to seeing them live yet, but I might try so that I can hear this new vocalist.
