Machine Head - Premiere New Song

After a generous preview of the new songs on their upcoming album, Machine Head have shared today a brand new song called "Night Of Long Knives". You can watch the visualizer of the track below and hear another tune from Bloodstone & Diamonds. "Night Of Long Knives" is a seven-minute long song. Do you like what you hear?

You can still stream the new track "Now We Die" over here as well. Soon enough, on November 10th (North America and UK) and November 7th (Europe), the album will be out via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

Expectations to high! It fails profoundly!

My interest in the band's kinda drained in the last couple of years, but I was hoping a strong new album might get me back into them because The Blackening was an incredibly formative album for my developing metal interests. However, this track sounds very much 'okay', and when taken together with the mediocre first song released, expectations are very low right now.

First impression was fine but then... to much "singing".

Ugh. Not a good track as noted already. Too bright sounding. No memorable riffs. I like the drum pounding in the middle part. Noodling duel guitar solo. Lost interest near the end.

I'm going to go against the popular opinion here and say its a good song. I really like the first track and, although not as good, this is still far from a bad song. Still have a lot of hope for the new album.

The only MH albums I like are Burn My Eyes and The Blackening. I think this is heading to the direction I don't like.

This song is average for Machine Head. More of a filler I hope. Not bad, but not memorable.

Burn My Eyes and The More Things Change... for me.

I so want to like some of their other stuff but it sounds like shit to me. It's bizarre that in one song they can do bits I really enjoy and other I really loathe.

I have the same relationship with the band. I just think they are not consistent at all or maybe it's just a matter of taste.
