Hellfest 2015 - First Bands Announced
After last year's line-up, Hellfest sure have their work cut out for them to live up to that. The organizers just revealed the first names of Hellfest 2015's line-up. They confirmed 128 bands! Are you ready? As usual, the fest is happening in Clisson, France from June 19th-21st.

The 3 Day Pass is available from today onwards, and only through their website for the time being. In order to make sure that the festival remains a pleasant experience for all, Hellfest will slightly reduce its capacity so as to celebrate its 10th birthday in good conditions. The site cannot be extended so there will be less tickets available... So be quick if you want to be sure to book your journey into the heart of Hell!

Most bands can be found in other summer fests, the mainstage acts are fucking awful, and the bands that make it interesting (coz didn't see them yet) for me would be limited to Terra Tenebrosa, Mutiilation, Craft, Tribulation, Beastmilk, Armored Saint and 1 or 2 others.... Still a fine line-up without being too impressive, would even consider going if the fest-site wasn't so atrocious.

I don't really like the lineup so far to be honest, lots of great names but I could do without that 'best of' feel. Plus for now melodic metal lovers are officially not welcome, with only Nightwish in this announcement. Yet I might be going if we can gather enough MSers.

Seems on par with 2014 at this stage. No interest in the headliners though.I've seen most of the ones i like before. Judas Priest would be the only one i think i'd see. I go to these festivals for the smaller bands that would never come to Australia though.

OK, so we've got 128 out of 160 bands. The rest should be announced in early 2015, at the same time they'll open sales for one-day tickets. For this tenth edition, they also planned special celebrations and surprises, but the only one evoked so far is a pyrotechnics show on saturday night.

Am I the only one to be surprised to see Wovenhand in the line-up? Not that I'm complaining though. As for the headliners they suck as usual but I guess it's a necessary evil if I may say so. I just hope the last bunch of names they yet still have to announce will definitely convince me.

Ben (the main man behind Hellfest) is a huge fan of Roadburn festival, which he attends almost yearly, and seeing that loads of bands on the smallest stages also have performed at Roadburn before it is only normal for Wovenhand to pop up there at some time.
