Beautiful cover. I'm usually not the one to moan and plead for the bands to come back to their roots, however with Sirenia I do have a tiny hope that with each new album they might bring back the spark and inspiration of the first two albums. Gothic metal masterpieces these two..

I don't know, on the last one it seemed like they gave it their all and it still was painfully average, don't know how this one can be any better. Don't know what people see in Ailyn, her voice is annoying most of the times and it does not help at all.
Still, I hope they magically release a good album.

Agree about Ailyn. I guess unless there is some kind of conflict within the band they are going to stick with her and so will have we.

I think that Ailyn's performance on POTB was brilliant. Compared to how she managed on the first two records with her in the line-up, it is definitely an improvement. I never had any qualms with her vows as she gives an overtly dramatic tone to the music. What really sucked on the last few records was in the in the songwriting department, not in the performance one.

It seems Ailyn is likely the only female lead that will put up with Morten. I think if the band went back to the vocal diversity they had in the first 2 albums, it wont really matter what female singer they have. Morten's song writing style is just stale without a lot of different voices... even Mortemia wasn't that great...

    Awesome artwork btw!

I really liked the first two albums of this band but the next ones were a disappointment for me. Though I do not bear any hope to listen to something like At sixes and sevens once again ( and this is sad

That's the right thing to do, you shouldn't expect them to return to that. The band moved on and hopefully they can produce something good. I'm hopeful

I think I'm the only one that liked their last album AND thought it was better than their previous works. Anyway, I like the album artwork.

You are right about the fact that the band had moved. But unfortunately they hadn't moved forwards but backwards... This drives me mad (

Not just you my friend, well, at least except for At Sixes and Sevens, the rest are plain average. Ailyn was great on PDB also, even though she was a pain to listen to in the first 2 albums of her with the band.
Anyways, the new album seems intriguing, though the title is so overused by the band itself.

I didn't mean that I WISH. She is not THAT annoying to me. I'm just saying this is the only probable reason for getting a different or 'better' vocalist. Wow, did I hurt your feelings or something?
