Leaves' Eyes - Recording New Album

Leaves' Eyes are back in the studio! The symphonic metallers are working on the follow-up to Symphonies Of The Night (2013) and the recordings are taking place at Mastersound Studio. The band has posted a photo today of singer Liv Kristine in the studio and updated on the new record. You can expect the album later this year already.

The band explained: "We are in the midst of recording Leaves' Eyes new full-length album. The album's concept is rooted in a highly important chapter in the history of Norway. The sagas of Norway's kings and the middle-ages has always been of great interest to me and it's such a pleasure to compose and record this huge soundtrack with my dream team here at Mastersound Studio. Thanx to my guys for these enchanting tunes and killer production! The album will be released in the second half of 2015. More news will follow soon! Love, Liv and Leaves' Eyes."

Sounds like they're going back to where they started. Still, can't be any blander than the last one.

I actually liked Symphonies WAY more than Njord... but both of those are pale shadows of what Vinland Saga is. Call me interested if not excited.

New album is to be called 'King of Kings'... and will include the London Voices choir. they played a track from it at the Dames festival on Sunday and it sounded very good, actually.

First gig was Manowar (loincloths 'n' all), Bristol Colston Hall in March 1983, on the 'Hail to England' tour. Tickets were £3.75, 300 in the audience, Mercyful Fate never showed, but my hearing still got seriously trashed..
