Nightwish - Streaming New Album Opening Track
Nightwish are currently streaming their new song "Shudder Before The Beautiful", which is the opening song taken from their upcoming album Endless Forms Most Beautiful. So, you can finally listen to another new song from the album before it is released later this month on March 27th (Europe), March 30th (UK) and March 31st (North America) via Nuclear Blast. The famed evolutionary biologist and writer, Professor Richard Dawkins is a guest on this eighth studio album from the symphonic metal band.
Mastermind Tuomas Holopainen explained about the song: "We wanted to present our upcoming album's opening track 'Shudder Before The Beautiful' for everyone to listen to before the album's release in cooperation with the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat. Bringing together the most trustworthy Finnish media with a song about universal awe was a match made in heaven in its uniqueness. The core of 'Shudder Before The Beautiful' lies in moments such as gazing at The Milky Way on a cold winter's night, seeing a photo of our Planet Earth, 'a pale blue dot' taken by Voyager 1 as a tiny oasis in the unfathomable vastness of space, or when listening to music which momentarily takes away all woe and time. And sharing those moments with people you love."

Written by ScnD361 on 14.03.2015 at 07:26 I have listened to this song (youtube) and although there is a vague low audible growl present in different parts of the song I think is difficult to attribute the authorship of it. I mean that I think that it could be another person performing the growl instead of Floor such as Marco (perhaps?) or other person. From my point of view and talking about the songs, except from "Elan", "Shudder Before The Beautiful" and "Yours Is An Empty Hope" smells almost like Once plus Imaginaerum which is not necessarily a bad thing "per se" but copying the recipe...

Written by ohmayhem on 15.03.2015 at 02:20 Tuomas asked her to sing softly like that, she mentions it on one of all those making of videos. It fits Nightwish better than the usual screaming Floor I think, still I hope she gets to do the screaming on a few songs at least.
