Motörhead - Cancel Festival Performance Due To Lemmy's Health Issues
Motörhead's South American tour dates didn't begin on a high note, quite the contrary. The legendary band was forced to pull out of the Monsters Of Rock Festival in Brazil over the weekend. Bassist/vocalist Lemmy Kilmister came down ill just hours before and the band cancelled their performance, sadly for Brazilian fans. However, guitarist Phil Campbell and drummer Mikkey Dee did have a jam session with Sepultura members. The good news is that Lemmy is doing better now and the band will continue the South America dates.
Here is the band's statement: "Due to a food related tummy problem, unfortunately Lemmy was not able to perform the show in São Paulo. He is already feeling much better and ready to continue the South America dates! Next stop Curitiba! Lemmy regrets this mishap very much and is looking forward to making it up to all the fans."
Motörhead has a couple more shows to do in Brazil, as well as Argentina and Chile.
