So fucking good

A pretty decent fast paced song with a good amount of energy which both of the previously released songs sorely lacked, though the lyrics aren't super great and overall it's nothing we haven't really heard from these guys before, but still a pretty decent song overall and way better than the dull as hell Implode or the shitfest that was When the Stillness comes.

An ok song, better than the other two

I really like the energy of the track, but it really sounds the same as their stuff before. I was reminded of World Painted blood right when the vocals kicked in.

An OK song. I really don´t like the production, the drums sounds awful

I agree on the actual band being overrated (post "Seasons In The Abyss" material). But I don't think their old material is overrated. It was really great.

Best Slayer song i've heard in a long, long time. Much better than the previous 2 songs they streamed for this album.

Although not outstanding, it sounds good. Better than the previous one, let's see what the whole thing brings, I still keep some hopes.

Awful. Slayer is truly dead.

Why is Araya always screaming? He sounded so much better with growl on hell awaits and earlier stuff as well as the non scream on south of heaven. I'm tempted to call them a hardcore band at this point. The song is alot better than the previous two early released but still not very good. His vocals are also WAY too high in the mix. I thought this was extreme metal not pop music.

I just wish they would throw in a hint of black or death or anything slightly different than what King has written for the past 18 years. Hanneman threw in punk aggression, king needs to find something other than his American coreish leanings. If he just switched up the tempo like three times in a song and threw in a distorted wicked sounding arpeggio people would shit themselves.

The terms overrated/underrated = I do/don't like so you should too. That's why I will never use those terms. Fact is the people have decided and Slayer gets the thumbs up. That is not overrated. That is a whole shitload more fans than not! The landscape has changed several times over the years and it is no surprise younger people say ....well ....what you said. They are what they are. If Slayer released Seasons in the Abyss in 2015 you still wouldn't like it. So to use that over/under rated cliche is as generic sounding as this new song.

Aside from the half second pauses between verses sounds exactly like I was expecting

With Slayer being my favor band of all time I have to say I haven't been this excited for new Slayer album since 2001 when they released God Hates Us All.

Same old, same old. I really liked the last album, thought it was the best since Seasons, but it is also true that none of the albums after Seasons sounded fresh and interesting. It all sounds kinda tired and forced. They need more space in their music again, I think, less breakneck speed.

I'm not really disappointed with this, as I long ago accepted that there would be no more innovation in the Slayer sound. It is generic, but I like it, and it's a lot better than "Implode" was at any rate.

Music is good on this one. However, like it was the case for many songs on "World Painted Blood", I dislike vocals. Vocals make it sound kinda like some modern hardcore band, which I don't like.
