Skeletonwitch - Debut New Song

Skeletonwitch fans must be curious to hear the band's new vocalist, Adam Clemans (Wolvhammer). Well, now they can because the blackened thrash metal unit just premiered the first track featuring the new frontman. The track is called "Well Of Despair" and you can hear it via the below video, which features live footage filmed by Josh Sisk during the band's recent recording sessions at Baltimore's Developing Nations with Kevin Bernsten (Noisem, Magrudergrind, Mutilation Rites). Do you approve?

Although "Well Of Despair" will be available starting Friday on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3 and other digital services, the song is now available for streaming and purchase on Bandcamp here.

Skeletonwitch will premiere their new lineup on March 16th at a headlining show in Morgantown, W. Va., before joining Abbath, High On Fire and Tribulation on this year's Decibel Magazine Tour.

Cool song but Chance Garnett was one of my favorite metal vocalists and the new guy can't compare.

The voice isn't nearly as powerful as the music. Huge step down.

It's fine, but the guy is no Chance. I'm sure the music will still be good but it's never going to be the same.

Oh well, life is change! Still looking forward to more music from Skeletonwitch.

The music is as good as ever but the vocals are very monotonous.

I came in here fully prepared to blast all of you for biased hero-worship and an inability to give the new vocalist a fair shake due to humanity's stupid tendency to equate the front man as the only important member of the band.

But this new guy is actually pretty mediocre. He has a generic 'metalcore-ish' sound that lacks individuality.

That being said, a lot of bands are able to surmount an average singer by playing great music and Skeletonwitch should be one such band based on past material. However, I find this song to be kind of boring and really lacking in punch. Much like the new singer, the new song is really rather generic.

I hope it is not indicative of what the new album will sound like as a whole.
