Trying to get into their two previous albums and still hard for me. Yet they sure show a lot of skills and melodies are here mixed up with growlings. Maybe this forthcoming album will be an instant "coup de coeur", who knows ?

The last two Soilwork albums would like words with you on that.

We'll see how this is. Honestly the last one was pretty boring and samey. Stone's Reach had loads of potential though so. We'll see.

Nope, since there are no worthwhile MDM bands anymore these days.

If you aggregated everyone's opinion, then the view would be that there are no worthwhile artists in any genre. Not much point in saying that, now is there?

No, I said there are no worthwhile MDM bands currently around. Didn't say a thing about death metal, black metal, stoner, sludge, doom etc. etc. MDM is dead currently, just like thrash where there are currently also no worthwhile bands around. Even the good ones of yore are totally irrelevant. They should stick to playing their old good stuff.

My point precisely. There is at least one person who holds the view that, say, there are no worthwhile black metal bands. Does that opinion hold any value? Not really. So...why say it?

Clearly there are plenty of people who believe there are at least a few worthwhile MDM bands.

Been meaning to listen to that band for quite some time now. After I seeing your comment I finally decided it was time. Found both albums quite boring tbh

Yeah, I might do that - worst case scenario, perhaps I'll enjoy their next album
