Dawn (SWE) - Recording New Album, Merchandise For Sale

Dawn (SWE), who are one of those few bands who played quality melodic black metal but went missing from the scene after the 90's, are now returning finally after 18 years. They announced some new merchandise through their official Facebook page, and also commented under the video of their full-length classic Slaughtersun (Crown Of The Triarchy) that they confirm that the band is already in the recording process of their third record, the first new material under their name in 18 years.

Guitarist Fredrik Söderberg said: "Thanks a lot everybody who support us and listen to our music! A couple of days ago, I finished tracking and editing all the guitars for the new album. 8 years of total guitar obsession. Next up is the drums and bass. Support us at the official Dawn (SWE) site and listen to Dawn (SWE) on the new Spotify platform. Fredrik."

Check out their new merch at True Metal Merch.

What are your thoughts on their comeback?

Slaughtersun was definitely a melodic black metal album.
Their stuff before that may have been closer to melodic death.

I am stoked to hear this news, out of the blue!

Perhaps I'm over-reading it, but what I quoted was meant to get at there being "only a few quality melodic black metal" bands. I heartily disagree there were/are only a "few", but perhaps that's not what was intended. *shrug*

THere are certainly not many bands out there who can match the quality of Slaughtersun.
