Asphyx - Premiere New Video Clip

Today you can hear more death metal by Asphyx. In fact, the Dutch band just debuted their brand new video for one of the new tracks that will appear on Incoming Death, their long awaited new studio album. The album drops on September 30th through Century Media and the group just debuted a promotional video clip for the track "Forerunners Of The Apocalypse".

Directed by Maurice Swinkels/Younique Film (Exodus, Kataklysm, etc.), who already worked on the "Deathhammer" clip by Asphyx, and featuring conceptual illustrations by Roberto Toderico.

Vocalist Martin van Drunen offered about the video: "'Forerunners Of The Apocalypse' is the first official video from the Incoming Death album. Done on a hot Thursday night at the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, Germany, where massive credits go out to the crew there. Lots of sweat, beers, laughter and probably the loudest playback session ever in metal! Filmed and edited by the one and only Maurice Swinkels, who probably went deaf after this. A grand cheerz also goes out to Roberto Toderico for the great Mongol warrior drawings! It was the last track written for the album, about genocidal ruler Genghis Khan. Especially about the sacking of Urgench, where 1.2 million were decapitated without mercy. A fucken stampede of a headbanger, so break your necks on this one!"

Sounds like Amon Amarth. I like the oldschool sound though.

Even though this album is one of the weakest Apshyx albums it is still vastly superior to Amon Amarth and still sounds nothing like that lame band.

One thing for sure to compare Asphyx with Amarth right now is Amarth's new disc is hell lot of better. Either way, both disappointed me with kind of records they been put behind but Asphyx's new album nosedived horribly. Never expected they will be sailing the ship with poor sea captain.

I have heard the full album at least ten times already.

I have had the FULL album in my possession since August 11.

So, they were ready with "Incoming Death" in 2011 before even releasing "Deathhammer" in 2012?!

Not only that, one disc gone onto becoming one of their finest releases and other just went absolutely crap. What the fuck they had in mind?

Wow! I'm terribly sorry to upset the Asphyx fanclub. I still think that this particualr song sounds like Amon Amarth, or perhaps Unleashed. Not only musically, but also lyrically.
