Much better than that first song they released. What in the world are they tuning their guitars at to sound like that? Crazy.

Guitars? Plural? Just one guitar. And they probably tune the guitar that way because the band doesn't have a bass.

Bands usually use multiple guitar tracks to make guitars sound more powerful. Vader said they do that (e.g. "Black to the Blind").

Bölzer uses one guitar but with loads effects such as delay etc. At least live there are no mutliple tracks. And live the band sounds the exact same as on album. It could well be they used more than one track in the studio, but with a band such as Bölzer I doubt it.

It sounds quite particular because it is a 10 string guitar. Like a 12 string, but only the 4 higher strings are duplicated. The tuning is probably baritone based on the low notes he reaches with the lower strings.

The albums of course have multiple tracks and overdubs, but they are not overdone so that you would end up missing them on a live performance.

I still can't figure out why this band is so popular. At least they have an album to justify the amount of live shows they've somehow smuggled their way into.

It is better than the previous preview of the album but still not great. Just like the entire album is quite underwhelming and a disappointment compared to the previous releases.

Sorry for going off topic, but does anyone know anything about the Swastika that the singer/guitarist has on his hand? Are they NSBM or what is the deal?

Such a great track. I'm not as worried about the new album anymore

Why has the vocalist suddenly started to sound like Johan of early Tiamat or something? Eh, works for me, anyway.

The clean vocals still sound retarded but the track overall was MUCH better and the buildup was fantastic. Shame about the vocals, the whole thing should be like this song.

I read some of the comments and dear lord there are some sensitive twats outthere whining about "cultural appropiation" and tha even though swastikas have been used for various cultures he shouldn't do it because he's white and therefore doesn't come from said cultures and blablabla vomit. I can't believe these people listen to metal to begin with, I mean... Aren't they like... offended by everything in metal then?

Nothing to do with cultural appropriation.

EDIT: Read the comments under the interview. I see what you mean by cultural appropriation. Yeah, that commenter is a whiner etc. etc.

Yeah it was pretty cringe to read to be honest. SJWs doing what they do best, i.e. creating drama where there needn't be any.

My God, I am still dumbfounded by some of those comments under that interview.

Okoi isn't white, since his dad his half Nigerian half English. No idea where his mum is from. Okoi grew up in New Zealand, maybe even born there. So, no idea why someone would think he is a white American.

I'm absolutely sure they also use multiple guitar tracks here. It's nearly impossible to create a sound like this on album without multitracking. And you can pretty clearly hear multiple guitars being used at some points (which forced him to play those parts differently live but he got away with it brilliantly.) Still, it's impressive how they can achieve a similar sound on stage with just two people.
