Only two weeks ago, folk metallers Eluveitie have announced that their new line-up is finally set. They have taken a lot of time with the search for new musicians and now they have designed a new website on which there is a countdown to reveal the new formation. New and old band members will be presented little by little with a poster, videos and interviews. Rafael Salzmann and Jonas Wolf have now been introduced as the new guitar players in the band.

The complete new line-up will be unveiled on January 1st, just right before the band's own festival, 'Eluveitie & Friends', will take place at Z7, Pratteln, Switzerland on the 6th/7th of January. At this festival, Eluveitie will perform with their new line-up for the first time.




On December 15th, the first new band member was revealed: their new drummer Alain Ackermann. This week, Rafael Salzmann (guitars) was announced as well. This was probably not much of a surprise though, you've already seen and heard him at many shows and many tours. Now they welcome to the Eluveitie family the new guitar player Jonas Wolf.

That's what Jonas' personal friend, the legendary Tommy Vetterli of Coroner says about him: "I've worked with Jonas in the studio a couple of times! I've seen and heard him playing all kinds of music. Even though his heart is a 100% in metal, it doesn't matter what he's playing - it's always at absolute top level!"
