SikTh - Reveal New Album Details And New Single

SikTh are back and they have finally spilled the beans on their new album. It has been revealed that their first new album in a decade will be titled The Future In Whose Eyes?. Mark your calendars for June 2nd with a release via Millennium Night, the newly created label imprint from Snapper Music, home of Peaceville Records and Kscope. And since the album announcement was made, the Watford mathcore sextet also debuted a new song, "Vivid", which can be streamed below.

Dan Weller, SikTh's guitarist and producer states: "Ever since SikTh was formed way back at the turn of the century we've tried to self improve as musicians and as song writers. We take our music very seriously. This record feels like the one we've always wanted to make. We spent over a year writing it and pushed ourselves extremely hard - sometimes too hard. Opacities was the rebirth of SikTh but 'The Future...' is our statement - I want this album to define us. I don't care how over ambitious it sounds - we want this record to be heard by every metal fan on the planet."

Rapid Fire

Indeed. It looks like a pretentious revamped version of Mercyful Fate's Melissa.

Twelve voices were shouting in anger, and they were all alike. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

"The Quaker"
It's an OK cover. I don't know what to think of the song though. The vocals have aged a bit but are still good. Music wise it's alright except for the INCREDIBLY generic chorus, one I did not expect from a band of such caliber. Lyrics are best described as '????' which may be a good thing with SikTh. Overall, it's kinda meh.

"No Wishbones" is better IMO.

EDIT: slept on it and I like it better now. I hope the record will be awesome
