Evergrey - To Reissue First Two Albums In November

After releasing The Storm Within last year, Swedish progressive metallers Evergrey will now be reissuing two early albums. Two late 90's classic albums are about to be re-issued on November 24th 2017 (December 1st in North America) via AFM Records: the debut The Dark Discovery and the groundbreaking Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy.

The Dark Discovery - the debut album - originally released in 1998 and Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy, which saw its first launch in 1999, have not been available for a long time and steady fans requests were pushing for a re-release. In fact, now both will be available for the first time ever on vinyl and as digital download! A digipak CD version is available too. The re-issues come with an exclusive bonus track each and with new cover - and booklet layouts, created by Carlos Fides. Both albums have been remastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Pretty Maids).

Vocalist/guitarist Tom Englund comments: "Finally a chance for all our fans to get their hands on vinyl versions of our first albums."

Pre-order here.

When you run out of inspiration, you live in the shadow of your own past... i don't get why bands re-release albums but anyway, two really good albums that's for sure.

I don't think anyone ran out of inspiration, their last 2 albums prove that... This is just for the collectors who couldn't find these albums.

Indeed. Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy is still my favourite Evergrey album. Luckily, I have the original CD so...

They just released a new album last year and it was a good one. So, they aren't really living in the shadow of their past.

Every word!! Solitude Dominance Tragedy is also my favorite and I treasure the CD. Adding the vinyl to my collection will be a day worth celebrating (and the last two albums were lovely indeed).

Didn't know it was your favourite as well. Prog babes

Evergrey are one of the most consistent bands out there, if you ask me. They did have a slightly less inspired period around Monday Morning Apocalypse and Torn but Glorious Collision already showed promise. After that, they returned to form.

I'm not into vinyl that much though. I just think they are lovely to look at but since I don't have a record player. Maybe I should invest in one?
