Northlane recently won their 2nd ARIA Award, with their album Mesmer beating out Airbourne (Breaking Outta Hell), Frenzal Rhomb (Hi-Vis High Tea), King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard (Murder Of The Universe) and Sleepmakeswaves (Made Of Breath Only) for the Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album category. Their previous album, Node, also won in 2015.

The ARIAs, or Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards, are essentially the Australian equivalent of the Grammys and have been held since 1987, with the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal award first awarded in 2010.
