Gleb Kolyadin - Releasing Solo Album, Stream Song Feat. Steve Hogarth
If you like Russian proggers Iamthemorning's work, you'll be glad to know that pianist Gleb Kolyadin will soon release his self-titled debut solo album. The album will be released on February 23rd via Kscope. Musicians who collaborated on the album: Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson) Nick Beggs (Steven Wilson), Theo Travis (Steven Wilson), Vlad Avy (Iamthemorning), Evan Carson, Steve Hogarth (Marillion), Mick Moss (Antimatter) and Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater). The first song "The Best Of Days," featuring Steve Hogarth, is the first taste available so far.

On the collaboration Steve comments: "Gleb is a beautiful pianist and a great musician. I was invited to collaborate on his new solo album and my mind was made up as soon as I heard the music."
The album's central concept weaves through an elaborate tonal and thematic structure, built around the extraordinary rhythm section of Gavin Harrison and Nick Beggs, which is accented at its focal points by guest appearances from Steve Hogarth, Jordan Rudess, Mick Moss and Theo Travis.

The album is a collaborative piece with each musician recording their own parts separately, starting with Gleb recording himself on grand piano in Moscow Winter-Spring 2017 at the famed Mosfilm studio. The album was mixed and engineered by Vlad Avy, who also previously worked on the two Iamthemorning records.

This is really incredible! Iamthemorning and Gleb are perhaps one of the most virtuous musicians of our era. A very precious and talented bunch, and are jewels to the music industry. Can't wait to hear how this one pens out!

This sounds amazing! And collaborations are over interesting... I love I Am The Morning! So I've gotta check it out. I don't know... Gleb has some kind of Bowie's vibe on his singing.
