Tengger Cavalry - Break Up After Unfair Contract Deal

Tengger Cavalry just released their most recent album, Cian Bi, but unfortunately for their fans, it will be their last. According to a statement posted on their Facebook page, they are disbanding after an unfair contract deal. Last year, the band signed with M-Theory Audio for the release of the record but it eventually arrived on Napalm Records. They thank all their fans for the support but bid farewell.

Nature Ganganbaigal explained why they are breaking up: "Within all these eight years, I have nothing but gratefulness to all your support. However, after consideration, I decide that Tengger Cavalry is officially dismissed. Yes, we are receiving good reviews, having fans and family to love us; getting the best support from Napalm Records. But what has been done to us in heart cannot be changed.

"In a society forged by law, successfully winning the legal sabotage from an industry scumbag like Marco Barbieri from Salem Rose Music & M-Theory Audio, who claimed to formerly worked for Century Media Records and Metal Blade Records, who gave us a contract to claim all our publishing rights since 2010, maybe is a win. In a society forged by business, successfully terminating a toxic relationship with Dawn M Robinson, who claimed to worked for Lady Gaga and [band]Slash[/band}, who teamed up with this toxic label person and manipulated us to sign this fraud contract with Marco to give up everything, maybe is a good business. Yet for an artist, these are the biggest lose. For you have entrusted your heart and soul to these people, only to get them butcher you.

"For an Asian immigrant, you cannot fight back, for the 'civilized' western ppl will point fingers at you and say: 'look, he does not understand our culture', 'He is too hard to work with' etc. I wanted to share my musical and nomadic culture experience with the world, yet the outcome somehow only comes back in a darker form. I love you all and thank you all for your support for all these years."

Well that was abrupt. And yeah, that last statement seems like a foregone conclusion. I think this is more business people taking advantage of young, non-business savvy artists; not exploitation of immigrants.

That last statement was clearly a deluded one (although I did experience something similar while I was living in Western Europe; due to my Romanian origin I was paid less than a native for the same work and considered to be from an inferior culture but I did not blame this on an entire nation or civilization, but on the people that treated me as such in particular) but the guy might've piled up some justified frustrations and made that statement without thinking in an emotional outburst.

I liked the first couple of albums from this band, but the latest albums are crap. As for good reviews, maybe from the obedient, politically correct press (which is like 95% of the entire mass-media), not from the impartial one.

Good lesson for other young bands: get someone who knows what they're doing on your side before you sign contracts.

Hahaha. So this community is like this huh? Bash at the bands you don't like even though you have no fucking clue about the matter itself. So this is metalstorm. Very good. And I was telling myself r/metal was toxic.

To be honest I'm surprised people here seem complacent rather than disappointed. Regardless of whether I dislike their latter work or not, I am aware being cheated by ownership by background people who don't create music at all must SUCK for an artist, I feel bad for them.
Like... It's the end. And everything because someone wanted extra money he didn't deserve

It's what Bodom did.
