Disillusion - Complete New Album Soon; Drummer Leaves, Replacement Announced

Mixed news from the Disillusion front. As shared in the band's newsletter, claims that the new album will be finished soon were followed by the announcement that the band's long-time drummer Jens Maluschka has decided to leave the band.

The band said: "Friends, after our tour in fall of last year it was quiet for some time here in the newsletter. Of course that does not mean anything... we are busy with the new album - and it thrives very well - it will be finished soon, after so many years a new Disillusion album - that is amazing! And we sincerely thank all of you who have already supported us in making the album!

"Unfortunately, there are also bad news today: Jens Maluschka has left the band. We wanted it to be a very gentle farewell and transition over the past months while the new album emerges. Of course we are very sad about Jens leaving - But at the same time we are very happy to introduce our new drummer: Welcome, Josh Saldanha!

Jens offered: "The last 3 years have been intense, creative and exciting. We released Alea and had cool concerts. But now is the time for me to go new ways. I would like to thank the guys for the cooperation and of course the fans that you have always believed in and supported us. I wish Disillusion all the best for the future and of course a terrific 3rd album!"

Although no specific date was provided regarding the album's release date, this news will certainly be welcomed by fans and supporters on the band's Patreon crowdfunding campaign launched a year ago. Josh will play the drums on the soon to come new album.
