Slugdge - New Members And Hints At New Album

Having recently released their highly appreciated Esoteric Malacology, Slugdge shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, they have released a flurry of posts on their Facebook, announcing two new members: Moat Lowe on bass and Alan Cassidy of The Black Dahlia Murder on drums, and hinting that they are already working on their follow-up to this year's album.

In fact, vocalist Matt Moss told Metal Hammer: "They'll bring exactly what we feel we've been lacking, a proper drummer and bassist who understand what they need to do to enhance the music. Me and Kev are guitarists first and foremost; we've never really done either of those things justice. They're both already sending us ideas, but we'll still be writing in the same way we always have - in our front room, with the dog at the side looking bored."

Slugdge posted recently: "Hello darkness my old friend, Album 5 is under way!"

Does this mean we will see more live shows from Slugdge in the future? Only time will tell...

I for one would love to see these guys live!
I for one would love a new Slugdge album per year. The more Mollusca the merrier.

Good news as their last album was truly one of the best metal albums I've heard so far this year.
