02:24 - !J.O.O.E.! I already wrote a sourced essay (practically) on that Your Fave Anti-Christian Band thread on the matter. Everything I encountered while looking it made me think he's clearly anti. The humour is just consequential I found.
02:23 - Apothecary Yeah, but still I wouldn't call the band anti-Christian, or at least not in the traditional sense of the term. They make fun of it a lot more than they outright denounce it. Metatron has a very atypical way of going about it
02:17 - !J.O.O.E.! Indeed. Personally I find it more effective at debunking Christianity because Metatron approaches it in a very secular way. Kicking away the mythical nonsense and trying to understand what actually could have happened.
02:10 - moonflash Oh well, still cool and refreshing to see a BM band dealing with christianity in an original way in contrast to all those "satanic" bands, calling for the sodomization of jesu with an upside down cross.
02:05 - !J.O.O.E.! From interviews I've read it's clear Metatron has no love of Christianity.
02:02 - Apothecary Some have called the Meads anti-Christian, but I think the term Christian satirization fits a lot better
Jani Liimatainen (Sonata Arctica) will replace J-P Alanen (ex-Celesty) for a while. Alanen has been given strict orders by his doctor not to do gigs for a week because of some health issues. Liimatainen, (who was a member of Altaria during the first five years), will replace J-P on the gigs until Alanen is fully recovered.
Altaria's gig list for this week:
14.09.2006 Rock's Bar & Club, Savonlinna
15.09.2006 Night Life, Lahti
16.09.2006 Ravintola Karhu, Kitee
Hope that J-P don't recover enough to play again >_< and Jani becomes a permanent member of Altaria again hehe... no... bu cool that Jani is a replacement on gigs until J-P's healthy again... he's got nothing to do really... as Sonata is making new material, that means that Tony's doing most of the job hehehe
