Into Eternity - Release New Track, Announce New Album

Progressive metallers Into Eternity have surprised everyone but premiering a brand new song. The Canadian band also announced their first new album in ten years. The Incurable Tragedy released back in 2008 was their last album still with Stu Block (who left to join Iced Earth) in their ranks. Into Eternity is now fronted by Amanda Kiernan ( The Order Of Chaos). The Sirens will be released on August 3rd and the first single "Fringes Of Psychosis" is the first advance track available. Are you excited about Into Eternity's return?

The song features solos from ex- Megadeth guitarist Glenn Drover and vocal performances by Eyam vocalist Chuck Labossier.

Also now in the band are Death Toll Rising drummer Bryan Newbury, and Untimely Demise guitarist Matt Cuthbertson.

Pre-order the album here, which is going to be released exclusively through Bandcamp.

YASS! This made my day. One of my favourite bands is back but I must say the song isn't that impressive.

But I don't even care right now!

"The Quaker"
Wow, so much texture in Amanda's voice, reminds me of the great 90's female thrash/heavy singers. The mix sounds a bit weak. And after all these years composition for the guitar-led parts is still not the strength of Tim. A good song though.

I have a feeling they waited awhile until Amanda was ready and able to perform at a high level. I remember when she was announced as the new singer I looked up some live sessions with her and she was not very good. She seems much improved now, song is nice! Looking forward to more.

Edit: Also, its interesting that they're adding Sandstorm and Fukushima to this album. Seems we've actually already heard 3 of the 8 tracks on it now. Also wondering if "The Scattering of Ashes" is a B-Side from the Stu Block album with that name.

Always loved their ridiculous bass drum sound on Scattering of Ashes.

Man, she is a killer vocalist! Can't wait to hear the album, musicianship didn't skip a beat.

What the hell is up with the mix, though? Drums overpower everything, guitars are super quiet and muddy. Sounds like a demo.

The song is growing on me but the production is bad. Also, it doesn't look like they have a label, and they don't tour a lot, so they probably don't have a lot of money for that.

I kinda assumed this group had just quietly broken up, it had been so long since they did anything. The song's fine, but not sure it's at the level of The Scattering Of Ashes material, which is the only album of their's I ever really cared for
