Behemoth - Launch New Single, Reveal New Album Details And Euro Tour

The mystery regarding Behemoth's previously released teaser has been solved. God=Dog is actually the name of their new single which dropped today. The Polish metallers also revealed that their new full-length studio album will be called I Loved You At Your Darkest and will arrive on October 5th via Metal Blade Records (North America)/Nuclear Blast (Europe). Watch the video (directed by Grupa13) and hear the new song below. Don't forget to share your impressions.

"It doesn't get more blasphemous than this," declares mastermind Nergal, about the band's upcoming album. While it certainly seems an unlikely title for a black metal band, its origin might surprise fans even more than the words themselves. "It's a verse from the Bible," Nergal reveals. "It's actually a quote from Jesus Christ himself. For Behemoth to use it as the basis of our record, it's sacrilege to the extreme."

According to the label, I Loved You At Your Darkest is the group's most dynamic record yet: extreme and radical on one hand, but also more rock-oriented than any other Behemoth release. Produced by the band themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand ( Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde ( Slayer, Children Of Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker ( Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa.

This October/November, Behemoth will hit the road across North America to headline the "Ecclesia Diabolica America 2018 e.v." tour, featuring special guests At The Gates and Wolves In The Throne Room. This must-see show will also make its way to Europe in January/February 2019, to follow-up the band's festival appearances this month.

The song is great, but the title of the song is too cheesy. So is the album title.

Is he saying dogs don't exist?
Nice artwork, good song, even though I could do without the children choir.

I actually love the album cover, the album title and the song. But.. Even as someone whose favorite genre of music is brutal death... These are some mega shit song titles. Like most of them, not just this one.

The video and song title make Nergal sound like an edge lord. Kind of pathetic; maybe I'm just tired of all the anti-christian crap in metal. Go after a different target for once, might make you stand out.

Despite the puerile song title, I thought the track was amazing. Can't wait to hear the whole album.

He is actually saying that God is awesome, fluffy and nice to pet. Man's best friend.

Confirmed: Nergal is a christian posing as a satanist!!! POOOOSER ALERT!

That's another way to look at it. And if that's the case, it's a strong argument in god's favor

The title sounds childish to me and about the music, they've reached a level that is not enough strong to be a extreme or even a death metal band.although it's nice to listen but the older ones was what would make you stand tall shouting the lyrics and feel that you are the singing Satan!

I think Behemoth have produced better videos before, don´t know what happened. The idea is there, art direction is fine as always but something is missing...

Why would he change target if he really believes Christianity is a problem ? I think Poland is very connected to religion, and I can understand he wants to stand against it.

Ok, maybe a little too 'Artsy' for me and not enough metal at the same time. Regardless, I am hopeful!

Well, maybe you are lucky enough to be from a a country that has a complete separation of state and church, but as someone who comes from a small country where church is still strong in everyday life and lawmaking processes I must say that anti-christian sentiments still have a lot of importance in music and arts in general.
