Bring Me The Horizon - Fan Dies At London Show, Release Statement

Sadly, a Bring Me The Horizon fan has tragically passed away at their Alexandra Palace show in London last Friday night (November 30th). The band has issued a statement confirming his passing via Twitter. In the meantime, a spokesperson for the venue where the fan died says that the "tragic medical incident" was "unrelated to the extensive security measures in place" for the concert. Eyewitnesses claim to have seen a man, reportedly identified as Ali Mills, being dragged by security from the pit but it's still unclear how he died.

The band has issued the following statement regarding the matter: "Words cannot express how horrified we are feeling this evening after hearing about the death of a young man at our show last night. Our hearts and deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones at this terrible time. We will comment further in due course."

The venue posted on Twitter the next day: "A medical incident occurred at last night's Bring Me The Horizon concert. Our thoughts and condolences are with the individual's family and we would like to express our deepest sympathy to them. We hope you can appreciate we cannot provide any further comment at this time."

On Sunday, a spokesperson for Alexandra Palace told The Independent: "Following the statement made last night, we would like to clarify that this was a tragic medical incident and unrelated to the extensive security measures in place at all of or our events. However, we feel we must address the inaccurate information quoted on social media. There were over 150 security personnel on site for the concert.

"Alexandra Palace has an experienced events team with security and full medical team stationed throughout the site. We work closely with our local authority, licensing and the emergency services to ensure that regulations and requirements relating to the planning of an event are always executed to a high standard."

In since-deleted tweets, Griffin Dickinson - frontman of SHVPES and son of Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson - wrote: "Last night at a BMTH show I saw a kid die. He was carried out by 3 dudes & paramedics tried to resuscitate him to no avail. Please please please look out for people around you."
