Eremit - Welcome Returning Guitarist, EP And LP Coming This Year

German doom/sludge act Eremit are happy to announce the return of their guitarist Pascal "Kalle" Sommer, which means that they will be a three-piece once again. The band is also planning the release of their second full-length album, entitled Bearer Of Many Names, as well as a two-track EP, titled Desert Of Ghouls. Both releases will arrive in 2020 through Transcending Obscurity Records.

Eremit commented about Pascal Sommer's return: "There is one major news we have hid from you till now... At the end of last year our third brother Kalle has returned! After traveling foreign countries and far distant territories he has returned to his hometown. Returned to us. Few days after his arrival he saw Marco and me perform our final show of 2019 in Dortmund. Now he will be embraced back into our bond. Woven into this womb of ours. Eremit is, from now on again, active as a three-piece and you will see all three of us at upcoming live performances."

About their upcoming releases the band said: "Earthlings, it comes with blitheness as we are lifting the veil of our future. Take a look at what is to come...

"In 2020 we will in coalition with Transcending Obscurity Records release our sophomore album entitled Bearer Of Many Names. Alongside this second full length we will release a 2-track EP called Desert Of Ghouls which is bridging events taking place on the full length record.

"We are honored to have Mariusz Lewandowski again visualizing our world and providing the Cover Artwork for Eremit II. We were also very humbled by having had the chance to work with Brandon Holt // Heathenlegs on the cover illustration for the EP.

"The music we are writing is a true servant to the encompassing story arc that is living in every fibre of this band. So with the Hermit traveling further into unknown realms our music evolves and accompanies this journey. New Chapters will unfold before your very eyes. All Swords Burn."

Long ass songs gonna be longer now?

Don't know about length but it sounds like it's going to be heavy as fuck again.

It's great how they build it up for about 6 and a half minutes and then throw a riff that totally destroys.
