Havok - Unveil New Album Details

Havok are back with the new album info. Colorado-based thrashers announce V, a new full-length effort set for a worldwide release on May 1st, 2020 via Century Media Records. Engineered, mixed, mastered by Mark Lewis ( Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, etc.) and showcasing stunning artwork by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Hatebreed, etc.).

Havok's guitarist/vocalist David Sanchez explains about V: "A lot of experimentation went into the writing and recording of V. The album offers the same intensity that we're known for, but with a few twists that may surprise people. The music is dense with lots of different intertwining parts and we're beyond excited to release our best-sounding record to date."

Havok are also pleased to announce their newest band-member addition in bass player Brandon Bruce, who debuts on V.

Bruce comments: "I am really excited about this record and to be playing bass with Havok. We really focused on structure and songwriting while maintaining the heavy riffs and brutal music the band is known for. I'm proud of how it turned out and can't wait for everyone to hear it."

What a very unHavok-like cover.

Not yet able to hear anything close to Time is Up. Last two outfits dipped incredulously.

I hope this will make me happy.

Looks like the same guy making an appearance on the new Testament cover http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/album.php?album_id=107478&band_id=181&bandname=Testament
He's getting around

edit: then I read the comment after posting that. Same artist

I actually have hope for Havok again. I really didn't like what that last bass player brought to the band (Job for a cowboy guy).
I didn't hear any news on why he left. The only time I saw Havok, he was getting heckled on stage (not by me). I wonder how often that went on

This is either gonna be an incredible album, or another edgy hour long rant by Sanchez. Hoping for the best with this album.

Cover might be a hint of album going prog/tech thrash direction IMO. If it's not Unnatural Selection Vol. 2, I will be to it on the release day

Seen in the last 2 records, it was a complete failure.

Stick to the pathway of Time is Up - raw crusty riffs after riffs after riffs...n(to the power of raw crusty riffs) will make Havok sounds fucking delicious.

Third time's a charm ? Btw, I don't think Conformicide was a failure, just too long an album and maybe missing a couple of super strong tracks. Still better than new MegaDave albums
