Warbringer - To Unleash New Full-Length In April

On April 24th, California-based thrashers Warbringer will set free their sixth full-length effort through Napalm Records. To be entitled Weapons of Tomorrow, it contains 10 tracks. One of the tracks, "Firepower Kills" (already released back in September), has been now unleashed in a re-mastered version.

Vocalist John Kevill states: "Weapons Of Tomorrow contains two tracks you've previously heard, "Firepower Kills" and "Power Unsurpassed", which now appear on the record in new and improved form. "Firepower Kills" is about advancing weapons technology. Modern science is an enormously powerful tool, and the human species must be very cautious about its use. This song looks at the last 100 years of scientific advances in weaponry and asks, 'where does this lead?' Musically, it's a total thrashing burner, and the main riff 'evolves' throughout the song like the weaponry in the lyrics."

Tracks on the album:

01. Firepower Kills
02. The Black Hand Reaches Out
03. Crushed Beneath The Tracks
04. Defiance Of Fate
05. Unraveling
06. Heart Of Darkness
07. Power Unsurpassed
08. Outer Reaches
09. Notre Dame (King Of Fools)
10. Glorious End

Warbringer hasn't recovered from slumber after releasing "Worlds Torn Asunder".

I disagree, never liked them much until Woe actually. Very rarely like "modern thrash" but that album just resonated with me

The main things disappointing about this is Firepower Kills and Power Unsurpassed are tracks on this rather than b-sides to Woe. And I'm bummed after talking to John in length that he didn't stick to his guns with the title being "Woe to the Victors" because they're definitely riding the wave with the album cover. One of the best of the last decade was Woe to me, I'm hoping the engines keep going but I'm feeling like this will fall flat.

This album will kick ass. Power Unsurpassed kicks ass. Absolutely love that song. This is another good one. They are going down the right path for my taste.
